The Finca del Enlace wine making project is characterized by the coherence sustained in each one of its productive stages. We learnt from our soil, -located in San Juan, at the foot of the “Cordillera de los Andes”-, to interpret our soil and climate. Then we investigated and developed a relevant agronomic technique, to obtain wines that are distinguished for their excellent price/quality relationship. We have invested in state-of-the-art technology and created a model cellar with the capacity to produce more than 3.5 million of litres per year.

The Model

Sustainable management of the vineyard for wine: Single wire

In an each day more populated world, the grape and wine production shall be continued in time only if the ecosystem is taken into account and the use of resources -such as hand labor, water and fertilizers-, which are scarcer every day, are minimized.

The grapevine is a climbing plant that needs a structure that holds to be cultivated. Finca del Enlace adopted a single wire (SW) espalier for its potential to produce good quality grape good yielding in warm areas. Furthermore, there is perfect adaptation to the mechanization for the handling of the plants and their harvesting.

The SW needs less agro-chemicals because the loose and airy foliage favors the grapes health. Their height favors the cultivation of the plants keeping the soil soft and fertile and the use of fertilizers is reduced.

All this enables the production of wine with an excellent price/quality relationship.

• Bio data: He has been Finca de Enlace technical Manager for more than 14 years. He is also one of the persons responsible and makers of the wine making project and who introduced the SW in our country. Finca Philosophy: “We have travelled, investigated and concluded that this was the best philosophy for our soils. In warm climates such as San Juan, the SW has shown that we may obtain a best quality of wines”.

We have the ability and know-how to produce wines that reflect the best of our soil. • Javier Sepulveda has over 15 years of experience in wineries of San Juan, and is who leads our vineyards.

 

Certifications

Thanks to the demanding procedures and quality controls applied from harvesting to the bottling of the wine, our Cellar displays certification FSSC 22000.

We have the possibility to adapt ourselves to the oenological criterion of our clients, manufacturing wines that answer our needs. The Finca de Enlace production capacity, that at present exceeds 3.5 million of liters per year, guarantees the efficient delivery with the possibility to project the business in time with our Cellar.
